The lobby area is really nice and the location is perfect for exploring the city. I liked the self-check-in process, it was simple once you get the hang of it. There's a good shared living room with comfy vibes. Free water available too, a plus. It was a decent stay for a solo traveler.
But the room was a mess when i got there, with dirty sheets and plates everywhere.

The hotel was a decent base for enjoying a market area, near to other points of interest as well as the excellent bus. Its location at a walking distance from a Swiss museum was great. The beds were very comfy, the room was cheap and impeccably clean with big bed.

The check-in was a hassle, and we struggled with the process. But the location was sweet as, just a short walk to the fairground!

i liked the place a lot, it is very cozy and gives a home feeling. the staff is extremely smily and friendly. can be easilly accessed from SBB train station by tram #8 (stop "Kaserne"). the breakfast was very generous with good selection and including several local cheeses
the price is too high. if it is important for you the room itself and the bathroom is very small, so small that the sink is taken out of it to the room. the internet access is charged.

I was in a room above the restaurant, which is attached to the ground floor. There were disturbing sewer noises, when the flush was operated in a room above. Creaking floors in the rooms around and in my own room. Relatively warm. Smell of smoke from the restaurant. When the tram crossed the street next to the hotel, the whole house was shaking. The room was simply but functionally furnished. The hotel staff was very friendly. If I had been there for holidays, I would not have felt everything so extreme. But unfortunately, I would like to sleep at night, because I had exams in Basel for three days. On the third night, there was a concert right in front of the room window, but the hotel couldn't help it. In the future, I would refuse to stay in a room above the restaurant. A colleague had a room in the backyard, he had more luck and peace than I did.

The location was grand, just a short stroll to the fairground! The self-check-in was a nifty touch, made things easy. One hiccup, though—my shower head was a bit loose. Still, had a mighty time overall!

missingWrote a review on 11 Novpoor cleanliness
The self-check-in system can be baffling, with changing codes causing unnecessary delays. Noise from other guests travels easily through thin walls. The rooms are poorly designed, with hot pipes causing humidity and a bizarre light switch placement that complicates basic functions. Cleanliness is an issue, with dusty surfaces and visible mold in the bathroom. During a longer stay, amenities such as toilet paper are insufficient, requiring communication with remote support.

Basel vibes 🇨🇭
The location is lekker near the trams and Kaserne. Free WiFi worked like a charm! The self check-in was surprisingly easy, once I figured it out. The quietness of the area made for a good night's sleep.
The room was a bit on the small side, felt cramped and needed some character.
